Lisa: “Eternal Joy in Glory” 2012

Where I have I come since following these winding roads?
What is it I know from these bits and pieces and these codes?
What do I have now that before I did not possess?
Can I say my roaming and searching and stumbling ended in success?

What profit remains for the worker from his toil?
Is day after day meaningless, a trivial chasing after rotting spoil?
A time to find and a time to seek; A time to laugh and time to wail
I have sought. I am weary, my God! Will You leave your servant to fail?

 Out from the door of my heart come whispers of the direction to the key;
I know I found the searched for golden path since being a baby boy,
But when will I hear with my ears and touch with my hand, this joy?
But where has it led me, where am I going- what can I see?

“Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice?”
Where the paths meet she takes her stand and cries aloud, “Rejoice!”
Your diligent search along the walking, wandering road has produced more than toil,
“Whoever finds Me finds life,” and stores up treasures which do not spoil.

“I guide you in the way of wisdom and along straight paths,” I can hear wisdom say
“I see the first gleam of dawn shining ever brighter till the full light of day”
“When I walk my steps will not be hampered,” my God will not suffer me to fall
The Fortress of Salvation is my Father, He who forms the heart of all!

My questions were not in vain, for I found Christ Jesus, my Teacher and my Savior;
The Spirit of counsel rests on him, He is why I am here; He dictates my behavior.
Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist;
The years of my life add up to Him: my Rest, my Redeemer, my Encourager in this race.

From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and You listened to my cry.
You, LORD my God, brought my life up from the pit; it is for You that I do not die
And I, with shouts of grateful praise, will sacrifice to you; it is in You that I find my reward
My path is Your path so I will say, “Salvation comes from the LORD.”

In the future, when your daughter asks you, “What does your life in Christ mean?
What is the meaning of the stipulations, decrees and laws and seemingly endless routine?”
Dad, it is by the grace of God and your legacy that I now know the goal in this life
It is to serve and obey God, love our neighbors, and turn to God in our most trying strife

For all eternity, you and I will share all of God’s wonders, peace and love
There will be no more hurt or sorrow or burdens when we are with our Father above
I can’t thank you enough for your devotion as we look ahead to the rest of the heavenly story
Where we will eat Apples of Gold, planted by love, in eternal joy in glory.

The Life of Gold and an unexpected response to it:

What are the most "efficient " and "effective" prayers on one's daily prayer list?

They are:

1. Lord, help me to love You more .... all of the time.

2.  Lord, fill me with your Spirit .... all of the time.

About Me...

" Just as the blood flowing through my veins gives my body life.  So too, the Word of God flowing through my mind gives my spirit life! "

The Purpose of Love

Wayne: “The Life of Gold” 1975
Man has walked through the ages in many winding paths;

Picking up bits and pieces and wondering what he has.
Many say they have the answer, but how am I to know?
Which one is right or wrong; which way should I go?

Stumbling, fumbling, like a blinded baby boy;
Searching for a golden road in life that leads a life to joy.
I follow no direction; only a leading that's inside me;.
It is something that is pure and good - what can it be?

Roaming, searching, trying to find truth;
Like grabbing something hard to grab, always slipping loose.
Walking, wandering, from road to road;
Seeking the truth, a path made of gold.

There must be more to life than working everyday;.
The answer must be some truth unfound, can there be another way?
The answer to this question escapes me all the time;
It seems I have all the answers, except the one I seek to find.

The years of my life, I see slowly slipping by;
The reason that I am here today, I really don't know why.
Questions, questions, a never ending number;
Oh, let me rest inside that I might find slumber.

The world seems so dark and cold; getting darker every day;
I wish, I wish with all my heart that I might find the way.
But this truth I seek to find is not plain for me to see.
Should I sit and scratch my head and just wonder what will be?

Some say they found the answer; while others search far and wide.
For me, I think this search starts within me deep inside.
It's a search for what's right and wrong - this is what I feel;
A search for meaning in life - a search for what is real.

Another shows me a book of truth, that leads to a life of gold;
As I read it, I begin to see the purpose of life unfold.
It's a life full of meaning and riches more than I can say;
My quest is taking shape I see, more clear becomes the way!

The road I seek is straight and narrow - not a winding path;
It leads to joy unmeasured and to happiness that lasts.
Now I have found the truth I sought, it’s in the one who paid the price.
The answer to all my questions is a risen Jesus Christ!

1. I believe man naturally wants to live life his way instead of God's way.

2. I believe the Bible clearly shows that this attitude separates man from God spiritually and eternally.

3. I believe in the Grace of God. In Grace, God demonstrated his love for us when Jesus Christ

    paid the penalty for our rebellion from God (i.e our wanting to live life our way instead of God's way).

4. I believe true faith in Christ's sacrifice should  produce gratefulness and love for Christ.

5. I believe this love enables us to live a supernatural life because God is love.

6. I believe this supernatural life causes us to enjoy living life God's way.

7. I further believe that this kind of life bring glory to God.

Using the whole Bible and depending on the Holy Spirit for direction, I provide scriptures that reveals the importance and purpose of love.  My position starts with God's love for man and then focuses on man's response to that love.

The intent here is to help the reader grow in a love for God and love for others.

------ Meditate on the following passage and see if you can figure out "Why Love is so important?" ------

"Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question:  "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"  Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'   This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'   All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." NIV
